DESCRIPTION:Friday\, September 6th beginning at 10 am to November 30th \nThe Brown County Art Gallery will open an exhibit and sale called\, “Check It Out”\, in homage to one of Mellencamp’s popular songs that speaks of people just wanting to be heard\, a theme that is represented in his art. \nThe Gallery Exhibit opens on Saturday\, September 6th\, and was personally curated by Mellencamp. \nVisitors will find a selection of original paintings as well as a selection of museum-grade signed reproductions. \nThe Gallery is open daily\, and admission is free. \nWe hope you will take the opportunity to see the well-documented talent of John Mellencamp in a medium that he considers an important part of his life’s work. \nPart of the proceeds benefit the Gallery Foundation.
