DESCRIPTION:This annual student art competition features works by 7th – 12th-grade art students from Bartholomew\, Brown\, Greene\, Jackson\, Johnson\, Morgan\, and Monroe County schools. Home school students may participate if they are under the guidance of a licensed Art Teacher.\n\nThe Competition is judged and includes six categories:\nPainting | Drawing | 3-D | Print | Photography | Video \n\nTeachers\, please email brncagal@gmail.com with your intent to participate by March 25th. Please email a list of your participating artists by no later than April 1st.\nThere will be over $2500 awarded in prize money and Indiana Heritage Arts will be presenting a “$250 IHA Teacher of the Year” award in both the Junior High and Senior High Divisions. DESCRIPTION:Taught by Alan Larkin\, Professor Emeritus at Indiana University South Bend\, this three-day drawing workshop is a condensed version of the observational drawing class that Dr. Larkin taught for more than thirty years. Learn the basic skills needed to draw anything you see\, strategies to unify these skills\, and acceleration techniques to help you become faster without sacrificing accuracy\, along with exercises to strengthen your skills. Backup materials will be available to help you work on your own.
