2026 Theodore Clement Steele Exhibit Jul 18 - Sep 20

One of the biggest Gallery Cenntennial events is coming and we are getting national recognition! The cover story in American Art Review!

On July 18th, be the first to see this once in a lifetime exhibition of Indiana’s premier Hoosier Master, Theodore Clement Steele.

Seventy paintings that span his revered career will fill the walls of the historic Brown County Art in memoriam of Steele’s passing in 1926 and the founding of the Gallery by the artists who followed him to Brown County.

Paintings come from private and public collections and have rarely been seen by the public. A full color catalogue features each painting and Steele’s extensive exhibition history. It’s a must have for both the patron and the educator. Copies are $25 but one will be included with each opening night reservation.

Exhibit opens to the public
Admission is free.
2:00 pm “Selma and the Painter’s starring Broadway actress Jill Tasker.
A short one act play that tells the story of the other artist from the House of the Singing Winds, Selma Steele. Seating is limited so come early!All Gallery exhibits open. Free Admission and Free parking.
Steele Exhibit open daily through September 20.
