Happy New Year to all our Gallery Supporters!

We are thrilled to tell you that 2022 was a successful year for the Brown County Art Gallery with strong sales for Association Members, Indiana Heritage Arts, and the Gallery Foundation.

The Foundation was able to add to our Endowment Fund, thanks to the generosity of our donors, and make a major upgrade to Gallery lighting. We have the reputation of being one of the best exhibition spaces in Indiana, thanks to our great lighting and we intend to keep updating and improving.

We joined with Indiana Heritage Arts and the T.C. Steele State Historic Site to launch a new event, “Painting Selma’s Garden.” It was a glorious weekend, and all parties are planning for an expanded event in June. If you missed it last year, mark your calendar for 2023.

The Nancy Noel Residence has proved to be a real force for the Gallery both in revenue and visitor draw. This relationship is set to continue in 2023. Visit our Calendar of Events to see other upcoming Noel exhibits and to help with your Brown County Art Gallery travel plans.

Visitors to the Gallery will find a lovely exhibit from our Permanent Collection and all new work from the Art Association. We also have a large selection of consignment paintings by the early art colony and a painting by Hoosier Legend John Mellencamp.

The Gallery is a lovely place to spend a winter day. We hope to see you soon. We are open daily and as always, admission is free. We appreciate any donations to help us keep it that way.
